Comment: Hi, The winter of 1988-89, Warren played in my band (Bud Martin & Sound Advice) in one of the showroom/lounges at the Town & Country Hotel in San Diego, CA. We performed 5 nights a week, and he was always an interesting guy to share the stage with. We played a few more dates together following our stint at the hotel, and the last time I spoke with him was by chance at Studio West in 1995. He was a truly gifted vocalist and entertaining individual. Bud Martin

Comment: Ah. I have to retract my previous entry... he was not my aunt's brother, but my AUNT MARLA'S uncle. He was also my uncle. I didn't know him as well as I would have liked, but I did meet him when I was younger... he died when I was only 9, but I still remember how great he was, both singing and just being Uncle Warren... I miss him. Glad to see so many others do too.

Comment: I was lucky enough to enjoy The Emergency Exit on many occasions. My first kiss was at an El Cajon Police Dance with Warren singing. Was it my charm or Warrens voice that allowed me to steal that first kiss? Thanks for singing so well that she was blined to me. In Case Of Dance Call The Emergency Exit.

Comment: His voice blew my mind first time I heard him many years ago. One of the best I've ever heard. It was such a pity that he passed away. His musicianship was fantastic. My kids listen to him as well and like him very much. What a singer! River of love-CD is a landmark in good singing.

Comment: I was lucky enough to know Warren and attend many of his performances and, sadly, his funeral. He did have the voice of an angel and continues to bring tears to my eyes when I think of him. A gift - yes, even to the angels, I think.

Comment: Would there be any chance for a posthumous compilation of Warren Wiebe's master pieces? A friend of mine understood that Gabriel Raya was working on that. If so, we would be extremely interested in such a compilation. Best wishes, Han F. Vermeulen, Halle (Saale), Germany

Comment: Had the plesure of being unexpectedly rocked by Warrens performance, at a small Western club on the Colorado River, when he sang "The green green grass of home". On a rowdy Friday, he left not a dry eye in the house, just killed 'em. I did not know who he was , but knew he had such a gift, no doubt, an important. Later we talked and was impressed that he was so meek and unassuming.

Not only did we enjoy his singing at the LA Forum but we were so lucky to sit next to him at one of the games and enjoy his company. What a wonderful man. Comment: My wife and I had the good fortune of having Warren sing at our wedding in June 2004 at Loew's Hotel in Santa Monica. As a musician myself I marveled at Warren's voice and range, and was completely blown away that he would even consider singing at our reception. Warren was a dynamic performer but extremely softspoken and shy away from the microphone. Although I did not know him well, I got the sense that he was a kind and gentle soul. Rest in peace, Warren, and thank you.

Comment: I first discovered Warren when in I bought a copy of "River of Love" in a record store in Toronto in 1997 and it became my most played CD, mainly due to the beautiful voice of Warren Wiebe. Shortly after, I found out that he was no longer with us and I was genuinely upset by the news. In my book, Warren ranks alongside John Farnham, as the greatest voice of all time, followed by Stevie Wonder and the work of those who have helped to preserve his well earned legacy, is certainly much appreciated.

Comment: I have followed David Fosters career for more than 25 years and I always knew his gift for finding talent. Warren Wiebe may have ben his greatest discovery. This man has a sensational voice. I was so saddened to learn of his passing. While no words of mine can assuage the pain of the loss you must feel, I extend my condolences to all who knew and loved him. I am sure Mr. Wiebe now sings forever with the Angels.

Comment: I think Warren Wiebe was a great man. Even though he is and was very unknown to almost everyone in the world, he is still MY favorite artist. I've listened to his version of "Voices that Care", Human Touch, Listen to Me(with Celine Dion), and Is There a Chance and I love him. I think that there should be made, a compilation CD of all his songs. Don't you agree?
